Tammy came to the club through a Community Program, called Count Me in. This is a program headed by Nazish Khan through Merri Health that was set up to introduce migrant women to sports. Tammy went from not knowing Australian Rules Football, to becoming one of her teams most reliable players, and also was the star of some interviews which featured in local publications.
Nickname and why: Tammy, prefer to be called Tammy.
Preferred position: Midfield/Wing
Weird rituals before or during a match: Everyone Muslim or Non-Muslim saying "InshAllah we win!" Reading a book minutes before a game.
Favourite ever AFL footballer and why: None, but I like Carlton and Essendon.
Biggest influence on your football so far: Being determined and inspired by other football teams. They motivate me and build a sense of desire to become like them one day.
Favourite football memory: Whenever one of us gets hurt or injured, the team is always there looking out for us when we need it. Or when the team say rituals and religious duas and words when they are not actually the same religion, it puts a smile to my face and makes be more determined to push to my limits, full capability and potential.
Best player you’ve played with and against: I'm not sure, but all players were really good.
Most annoying team mate: Annoying as in making us laugh... it would be Najla Chabaani.
Most reliable team mate: Ellie and Makayla D'angelo .
Most intelligent team mate: I would say Makayla and... Can I say me?😂 (Yes)
Favourite past time/hobby: Martial arts, working out, writing poems and reading.
Favourite band/musician: Astro, Straykids, Treasure.
Celebrity crush: Ji ChangWook & Seo KangJoon
3 people you would invite to a private dinner, dead or alive: My Mother's dad (deceased), My mother, My mother's Mum.
What you miss most about not being able to play footy: It was a chance to workout so I don't get to do that anymore. I miss laughing and training with my teammates. I miss not being able to play football because it has become a recently new favorite hobby of mine since 2019
